Join slide guitar master Thomas Heppell for an interactive and entertaining evening at Loose Cannon Brewery on August 15th.
Perfect for complete beginners and players who are already exploring slide guitar, this workshop will cover everything you need to get started or improve your technique. Thomas will guide you through slide tunings, choosing and holding a slide correctly, and playing your first rhythm and lead patterns, with plenty of useful tips and tricks thrown in along the way.
There will also be an opportunity to jam with Thomas and the tutors from Oxfordshire Music School at the end of the evening.
Whether you're curious about slide guitar or looking to develop your existing skills, this promises to be a fun, relaxed, and inspiring night of music, learning, and great company. There will be plenty of opportunities for jamming, chatting with fellow players, and enjoying a beer from the award-winning brewery—about as fresh as beer gets!
This course will run on acoustic guitar, please bring your own. We will have plenty of slides available.
